BCA Office Closed for Labor Day - The BCA Management Office will close today at 1 PM and remain closed through Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day. The office will reopen on Tuesday, September 4th at 9 AM.
Take the Technology Survey Today! - BCA’s Ad Hoc Technology Committee is seeking resident input on the community’s bulk agreement for internet and television services. To update you on the Committee’s progress;
- The Committee has been meeting for over a year.
- Verizon is open to negotiating a potential new bulk services agreement prior to the end of the current agreement in 2020.
- The Committee’s goal is to make a recommendation to BCA’s Board of Directors regarding a potential bulk services agreement for the 2019 budget year.

Neighborhood Watch & Safety - BCA and concerned residents have teamed up with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office to establish a Neighborhood Watch program throughout Brambleton. The program focuses on educating and encouraging residents to “say something when you see something”. Resident patrols are not part of this program. Neighborhood Watch signs have been installed throughout the community to remind residents of the need to report all suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Office. BCA has initiated an order with LCSO for more signs that will be installed upon delivery.
- If you see any suspicious activity, call LCSO immediately at 703-777-1021, or call 911 if a crime is in progress.

Change in Brambleton Pool Hours - Please note that pool hours have changed at Brambleton pools now that the school year has started. Grounds & Facilities Committee Meeting Schedule Change - The Grounds & Facilities Committee recently voted to adjust their meeting schedule to the second Tuesday of every month. The next Grounds & Facilities Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:30 PM. The Asphalt Sub-Committee meeting schedule has not changed, and their next meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 4th at 7 PM.
Northstar Blvd Extension Work - Blasting is currently being performed for the extension of Northstar Blvd. A blasting map and air horn warning information can be found here.
Bond Release Activity - Bond release work is currently being performed in Section 24. These sections are experiencing concrete break and replacement work; this may impact ingress and egress of driveways. Residents will be notified by the developer's contractor if they are affected by this work. Final pavement is scheduled for the end of September, weather permitting.
Blasting Operations in Birchwood - Blasting operations are underway and will continue for approximately the next two months. Blasting may be felt at times by residents living in the southeast corner of the community (Sections 15, 21, 24, and 27).
Dog Gone Wild Pool Party - Our annual Dog Gone Wild Pool Party takes place on Sunday, September 9th from 2 to 6 PM. Don’t let your furry friend miss out on the chance to dip in the pool before summer ends! Dogs must be registered prior to the event, and the entrance fee is $5 or a donation from the A Forever Home Wish List. Register here.
Neighborhood Campout - Looking forward to camping out Brambleton-style? Join us on the weekend of September 15-16 for our annual Neighborhood Campout! We will have pickleball and volleyball games, a rock wall, moon bounce, movie, and s’mores! Register for your tent site today.

Two By Four Race - Two and four-legged athletes are invited to help crush cancer in the 2nd Annual Two By Four Race Against Childhood & Canine Cancer! All net proceeds will support cutting-edge research for cancers that kids and dogs both develop. This event takes place on Saturday, September 29th from 8 to 11 AM. Fall Fest - Save the date for Fall Fest on Saturday, October 6th! Come out with the whole family and enjoy rides, food trucks, live music, an artist marketplace, and more! Briar Woods Tag Day - The Briar Woods High School Marching Band will hold a Tag Day event on Saturday, September 8th from 10 AM to 5 PM. Band members will knock on doors in the community to ask for donations and give out tags in return. Collected gifts will be used for competition fees, sheet music, uniform upkeep, and more.

Landscape Bed Maintenance - Turf areas and mulched landscape beds are to be kept as weed-free as reasonable. At no time shall weeds exceed more than 25% of the total turf area or 10% of mulched areas. Mulching landscape beds is one of the best ways to prevent weeds from growing out of control. Tree Care Reminders - Residents are responsible for maintaining trees and bushes on their property. These responsibilities include:
- trimming/pruning trees to a minimum of eight (8) feet above the sidewalk to allow for free, unobstructed passage;
- maintaining all trees and landscaping within the scale of the property;
- removing tree stakes which have been in place for more than one year;
- removing dead plant material promptly and planning for required replacements.
