INSIDE BCA

BCA is Hiring - BCA is seeking qualified candidates for a key full-time position. For a full job description, please visit our Careers page.

  • Resident Services Administrator: Ideal candidates will have significant customer service experience, be self-motivated, and be available to work flexibly and cooperatively in a small office, team-based environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. This position is full-time and offers an entry-level salary with benefits.

Brambleton Bettas Swim Meet - The Brambleton Bettas will hold swim meets on Monday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 11th at the Community Center Pool. The pool will close for both meets at 4:00 PM.

Sand Volleyball Court - The Association has begun construction on a sand volleyball court in Legacy Park just east of the tennis courts. Work should be completed by mid-July. This project includes leveling of the existing site, installation of the court with wood borders and 160 tons of white sand, drainage, landscaping, and site amenities. Questions pertaining to this project can be emailed to CIP@brambleton.org.

Fall Magazine Cover Contest - Enter your photos for a chance to be featured on the cover of the September issue of the Brambleton Magazine! Choose your best fall-themed, back to school, or Halloween photos and submit them to communications@brambleton.org by Friday, August 10th. Contest rules and more information can be found here.


Notary Services Available at BCA by Appointment - Notary services are free to Brambleton residents for the first two documents, with a $2 fee per document thereafter. A photo ID is required. Witnessing on documents will not be provided by BCA. Virginia notaries are not authorized to certify true copies of birth, death, or marriage certificates; only the Division of Vital Records/Statistics may perform such a certification. If you are interested in utilizing these services, please call 703-542-6263, or email to schedule an appointment. Alternative notary service providers include the Loudoun County Public Library, the Loudoun County Clerk’s Office, and the UPS Store at the Brambleton Town Center – fees may apply.

Get Involved – Join a BCA Committee - Serving on a BCA Committee is a great way to learn more about the Association’s operations and to become more involved in the community. Currently the Covenants Committee, *Elections Committee, Financial Advisory Committee, Grounds & Facilities Committee, and the Safety & Security Committee are seeking new members to meet their chartered capacity. Committee candidates and members shall be property owners in good standing with the Association. Committee members may only serve on one committee at a time, and only one member of each household may serve on the same committee at the same time. Owners are encouraged to attend meetings of the committee they are interested in and then submit a membership application to the BCA Board of Directors. Click here for more information about each committee, including the charter, meeting schedule, and staff liaison. *Please contact Rick.Stone@brambleton.org for more information about the Elections Committee.


DEVELOPER NEWS

Blasting Operations in Birchwood - Blasting operations are underway and will continue for approximately the next four months. Blasting may be felt at times by residents living in the southeast corner of the community (Sections 15, 21, 24, and 27).

Active Construction Zones - Access through or in active construction areas is prohibited. Please use caution when traveling near these areas.


LIFESTYLES

Sizzlin' Summer Concert Series - Our 2018 Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series continues with Jah Works on Thursday, July 12th from 7 to 9 PM! This free concert is located on the western end of Legacy Park. Gates open at 6 PM. No pets please.

Teen Late Night Swim - Rising 6th - 12th graders are invited to our Teen Late Night Swim at Beacon Crest Pool on Friday, July 13th from 8 to 10 PM! Pool passes are required, and guest passes are allowed for up to four guests per household.

Teen Summer Service Days - On Thursday, July 19th, teens will visit Loudoun Therapeutic Riding from 10 AM to 2 PM to perform community service work on the grounds. Click here to sign up and find more information.

Summer Sip & Craft - Join us on Friday, July 27th at 6 PM for Summer Sip & Craft at the Brambleton Community Center. Relax with friends while you create a chic, custom piece of home decor. Safe Sitter Course - We are hosting a Safe Sitter course on Saturday, August 11th from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Brambleton Community Center. This course is sponsored by beat4LifeCPR and open to Brambleton residents only. RSVP at programs@brambleton.org to reserve your spot today!


EATLOCO BRAMBLETON MARKETPLACE

Food Truck Rally - EatLoCo's Food Truck Rally is now underway in Brambleton! This rally takes place every other Thursday from 5 to 8 PM, with the next rally occurring on Thursday, July 19th. Enjoy a variety of local food trucks offering everything from quesadillas to barbecue to falafel and more! Visit EatLoCo's Food Truck Rally page for more information.

Summer at the EatLoCo Brambleton Marketplace - Enjoy great summer offerings at the EatLoCo Brambleton Marketplace! Come to the corner of Legacy Park and Olympia Dr every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM to support local farmer and artisan vendors. Visit the Brambleton Marketplace page on the EatLoCo website for vendor and event information. This Sunday, July 8th, enjoy live music from Daily Distraction!


COMMUNITY

Christmas in July - Take part in the Christmas in July Community Give Back Day! This resident-sponsored community event hosted in part by Girl Scout Troop 3512 takes place on Saturday, July 14th from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Corner Clubhouse. Shop local vendors, fill a shoebox for children in need, and bring a can of food for the Dulles South Food Pantry!


COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Design Review - The next meeting for Design Review will be on Monday, July 9th. Applications can be submitted via email to designreview@brambleton.org. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit the website or call 703-542-6263. 

Tree Care Reminders - Residents are responsible for maintaining trees and bushes on their property. These responsibilities include:

  • trimming/pruning trees to a minimum of eight (8) feet above the sidewalk to allow for free, unobstructed passage;
  • maintaining all trees and landscaping within the scale of the property;
  • removing tree stakes which have been in place for more than one year;
  • removing dead plant material promptly and planning for required replacements.

TALK OF THE TOWN CENTER

Rhino Rides - Dust off your bike for a weekly ride with neighbors and new friends! Bicycle Outfitters staff lead Wednesday night Rhino Rides through the community, finishing at Lost Rhino Retreat. The next ride will take place on Wednesday, July 11th. Meet at 6:30 PM in front of Bicycle Outfitters. Helmets & working bike lights required. Call 703-327-3222 for more details.

Regal Summer Movie Express - Keep the kids entertained this summer with the 10-week Regal Summer Movie Express. Every Tuesday & Wednesday through August 22nd, you’ll find kid-friendly classics at 10 AM at Regal Fox Cinemas for only $1 each! A portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.


COUNTY CORNER


Loudoun County Broadband Survey Extended - Loudoun County has extended its broadband survey through Friday, July 27th. This online survey is being conducted to analyze the availability of broadband in the county and the various technologies used to deliver broadband services. The data will be used to help identify ways to improve broadband service. More information can be found here.

Loudoun County Transit: Bus Service Changes - In a continuing effort to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Loudoun County Transit bus service, a number of schedule changes will go into effect throughout July 2018. The modifications include new routes and stops, the elimination of some routes due to low ridership, and Commuter Bus fare increases. More information can be found here.

Vehicle Decal Requirement Eliminated - Loudoun County vehicle owners no longer have to display a Loudoun County decal on their vehicle’s windshield. The Board of Supervisors eliminated the decal requirement effective July 1, 2018, converting the decal fee to a $25 annual vehicle license fee requirement. Billing for the license fee will begin in 2019. Click here for more information.

Loudoun Workforce Resource Center - The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center is offering Meet the Employer events and career development workshops throughout July for job seekers. The Workforce Resource Center also provides no-cost services and resources to assist job seekers and employers with the job search process.
