Christmas Tree Recycling – Christmas tree collection and recycling will take place next Wednesday, January 7th and Wednesday, January 14th.  Please place trees curbside by 6:00 AM.  In addition, Loudoun County is offering five locations for residents to drop off their Christmas trees for recycling here.

Yard Debris Recycling Will Resume on March 3, 2015 – For more information and specific guidelines regarding waste and recycling services in Brambleton, please see the community website here.

Friday Flash and Newsletter Distribution List – BCA has recently switched email marketing providers and will be using CivicSend to email Association communications to residents.  If your neighbors and friends in the community would like to start receiving the Flash, newsletter and other Association news, please direct them to the “Notify Me” link on our website where they can add themselves to the “Friday Flash and Newsletters” distribution list.  Please contact Christine Elansary with any questions.

BCA Office Closing Early Next Wednesday – The BCA Management office will be closing at 12:00 PM next Wednesday, January 7th for a staff function.  Please call 703-385-1133 for all BCA common area emergencies.

LIFESTYLES

Triple Crown Finishers – Congratulations to all of the Triple Crown Finishers for completing three of the six Race Brambleton events!  If you haven’t had the opportunity to pick up your “brag swag” or would like to find out if you qualified, please contact Christine Elansary.

Brambleton Kids Care & Special Olympics – Brambleton Kids Care will be cheering on athletes during the Special Olympics Loudoun basketball tournament scheduled for Saturday, January 10th.  The BRAM community bus will be taking residents to and from Tuscarora HS.  If you are interested in participating as “Fans in the Stands”, sign up here.

Children's Storytime – Loudoun County Public Library presents storytime at the Brambleton Community Center (42645 Regal Wood Drive), beginning next Tuesday, January 6 at 10:00 AM. It’s fun for the whole family! Enjoy books, songs, music and stories all while building early literacy practices. For all ages.  Email Beth Huck for more information.

Brambleton Book Club – Join Jessica, a librarian from the Gum Spring Library, for an informal discussion of the books you've recently read, love, or just think are worth reading. She will be handing out copies of Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, which the group will be discussing in February. The club will meet on the second Monday of every month at 7:30 PM starting on January 12 at the Community Center (42645 Regal Wood Drive).  For questions email Beth Huck.

Kids Night Out - Registration is now open! On February 6th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Brambleton Kids Care (BKC) will be hosting a PJ Party at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse for kids ages 3 – 5th grade (must be potty trained).  We will provide a pizza dinner, G-rated movie, and crafts.  Cost is $20 for first child and $10 for siblings. All proceeds will go to BKC to help raise funds for future volunteer events. Seeking New Committee Member – We are now searching for a new member to join the Covenants Committee.  If you are interested or know someone that is, please attend the meeting on January 12, 2015, to see what our committee is all about.
