Yard Waste Collection Reminder - BCA would like to share a friendly reminder that Republic Services will no longer recycle any yard waste contained in plastic bags, clear or otherwise. Yard waste consisting of grass clippings and leaves must be placed in dedicated containers or in paper “yard waste” bags for collection. BCA would like to provide advanced notice to Brambleton residents that quarterly light inspections will be conducted throughout the community beginning Monday, April 19. Brambleton residents are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of exterior lighting fixtures which are designed to function automatically. BCA staff will be conducting inspections of the proper operation of carriage lights, garage lights, and builder-installed landscape lights which should operate from dusk until dawn. Mulching landscape beds is one of the best ways to prevent weeds from growing out of control. Turf areas and mulched landscape beds are to be kept as weed-free as reasonable. At no time shall weed cover exceed more than 25% of the total turf area or 10% of mulched areas. A major summer-annual grass in landscape beds is large crabgrass; smooth crabgrass is primarily a turf weed. More information and tips on how to best handle this common problem can be found here
