AROUND BRAMBLETON

INSIDE BCA

Weed Control & Fertilizer Application - The Association’s grounds maintenance contractor will begin performing applications of weed control and fertilizer starting on Monday, October 21st. It will take approximately two weeks to treat the entire community. Weather can impact this schedule. Please contact operations@brambleton.org if you have questions, need more information, or would like to opt out of the service (townhome grounds maintenance program only).

Save the Date for BCA’s Annual Meeting - The Association will host its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 7 PM at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse (sign-in begins at 6:30 PM). The purpose of this Annual Meeting is to elect three BCA directors, share Association and community information, and to provide an opportunity after the meeting for residents to ask specific questions of the Association. The Annual Meeting is also a great opportunity for you to meet the current Board members, Association staff, and your neighbors. Information about the online election and the election candidates will be distributed next week, and a meeting notice will be mailed to all Brambleton households later in October. If you have questions or need assistance to participate in the meeting, please contact hoa@brambleton.org.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Design Review - The next meeting for Design Review will be on Monday, October 14th. Applications can be submitted via email to designreview@brambleton.org. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit our website or call 703-542-6263.

Signage Guidelines - BCA would like to remind residents about the Design Guidelines for Temporary Signage within the community:
  • Signs are to be selected, designed, and located to provide effective communication while minimizing their visual impact on neighboring properties and the neighborhood. Placement of signs on common areas or rights of way is not permitted.
  • Political Signs: Two political signs, no larger than 2’x 2’, may be posted on a residential lot. Signs may be posted up to 30 days prior to a pending election and must be removed within five days following the election.
  • Signs shall not obstruct any traffic sight lines.
Click here for the full guidelines text. Contact communitystandards@brambleton.org if you have questions or need more information.

Post-Approval Inspections - Staff regularly inspects approved modifications to confirm that they were constructed as approved, completed, or started. Approvals from the Covenants Committee are valid for one year. For example, if you applied for a deck in September 2019, then you have six months to begin construction of the deck and 12 months to complete the deck. If you make a modification to the original plan, then you will need to submit a new design review application prior to continuing the project. If you have any questions regarding these or any inspections, please contact your advisor at designreview@brambleton.org or 703-542-6263.
