INSIDE BCA

Storm Cleanup UpdateSections of Brambleton were hit hard by yesterday’s storm, and cleanup is underway. Legacy Park was one of the affected areas, with numerous trees down and other remaining hazards. Crews are inspecting and addressing all hazards today. Due to the volume of downed trees, removal will continue into next week. Please take note of the following:

  • Report all large hanging/damaged branches or leaning trees on common areas to operations@brambleton.org.
  • Do not play or climb on downed trees.
  • Do not enter areas roped/taped off with caution tape or flagging. Do not destroy or remove barriers.
  • Do not use common areas to dump branches or other storm debris. Republic Services will collect debris on Tuesdays if properly placed curbside. Residents with property affected by the storm can visit our website for more information on Republic’s yard debris collection requirements.

Asphalt Maintenance Starting Monday, August 19th BCA will resume its asphalt maintenance program starting Monday, August 19th. Work is scheduled to occur through Wednesday, August 28th. We will be using a green technology to complete this process. Asphalt rejuvenator will be applied to streets in Sections 22 & 29, Brandt Townhomes, RB Condos (Section 13), Town Center Residential, and Trent Grove; Brambleton Corner and Stratford Landing parking lots; and on several trails (see map and street list). Asphalt maintenance will include crack filling and seal coating, followed by re-striping of parking space lines and stop bars. Roads may be closed for up to 12 hours, and minor inconveniences can be expected. Visit www.brambletonhoa.com/asphalt for more information, including a preparation checklist for impacted residents.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Design Guideline Revision - The BCA Board of Directors has approved the draft design guideline revisions to be sent to the community via email blast for review and public input for a period of 30 days. The draft revisions are posted on the BCA website at www.brambletonhoa.com/guidelinerevisions. Community suggestions can be submitted here, and all suggestions will be reviewed and evaluated at the Covenants Committee meeting on Monday, September 9th beginning at 7 PM. A final decision by the Board on the adoption of the revised guidelines is expected to take place in October 2019.

Where Is My Plat? - When submitting a design review application for review by the Covenants Committee, a copy of your property plat with the location of the modification clearly marked in red is required, as the plat provides information about property lines, setbacks, and easements. An example of what a property plat looks like can be found here. A copy of your property plat can typically be found in your settlement paperwork. If you are unable to locate a copy, then you can request one from the company that handled your settlement. BCA will only have a copy of the property plat if you have previously submitted a modification application. The Loudoun County Office of Mapping and Geographic Information has most subdivision property plats on record, and if available, they will email or print a copy for you. Please click here for more information.

Construction of Approved Modifications - Owners are responsible for ensuring that their contractors adhere to Brambleton’s standards and rules. It is important to know that construction materials of any kind may not be stored in common parking lots, common areas, or in the street. Nothing, including excavated materials (grass clippings, turf, dirt, sand, rocks, etc.), may be dumped in any wooded areas, common areas, or wetlands. If you have any questions or if you care to report a violation, please contact 703-542-6263 or communitystandards@brambleton.org.
