INSIDE BCA

Weed Control & Fertilizer Application - The Association’s grounds maintenance contractor will begin performing applications of weed control and balanced fertilizer on Monday, March 20. It will take approximately two weeks to treat the entire community. Weather can impact this schedule. Please contact operations@brambleton.org if you have questions, need more information, or would like to opt out of the service (townhome grounds maintenance program only).

Townhome Grounds Maintenance Program - Services have resumed on townhome properties that receive grounds maintenance as part of the BCA program. Program details are outlined at www.brambletonhoa.com/townhomegrounds. The landscaping contractor is currently performing spring bed cleanup and mulching. Residents are reminded to take precautions to ensure that services can be properly performed, including:

  • Provide unrestricted access to backyards.
  • Unlock gates and ensure they function properly without obstructions.
  • Remove personal items from lawn areas, such as lawn furniture, toys, hoses, and other items.
  • Ensure that pets are not present during services. Check that all gates are closed and properly latched prior to letting pets into yards.
  • Establish a 3-to-6-inch weed-free zone around areas that can be damaged by string trimmers, such as A/C units, fencing, deck posts, etc.

Residents that wish to opt out of service or part of the service (ex. fertilizer applications) may submit a completed Opt Out Form to operations@brambleton.org. This form must be filled out each year to opt out. Residents that choose to opt out are still obligated to pay the full monthly assessment. Questions can be submitted to operations@brambleton.org.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Planning a Project? Remember to Obtain Approval First! - Our governing documents require that BCA approves all proposed exterior modifications before any work is started. Membership in a community association requires compliance with pre-existing conditions and regulations. One of the biggest advantages of these conditions is the protection of our property values. The value of your home is directly related to the condition and aesthetics of our community as a whole. Completed applications can be sent to designreview@brambleton.org (recommended) or mailed to the BCA Management Office. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit our website or call 703-542-6263.

Seeking New Covenants Committee Member - BCA is currently seeking a new Covenants Committee member to fill one vacant position on the committee. If you are interested, or know someone who is, please visit our Covenants Committee page for more information. Those interested in joining this committee can find an application form here. If you have any questions, please email designreview@brambleton.org or call Nikki Jessup, Community Standards & Resident Services Manager, at 703-542-6263.
