Woolsey Park Playground: Input Requested by 2/3/23 - BCA is requesting resident input on improvement of the Woolsey Park playground located on Woolsey Dr (south of Frontier Dr). Please send any feedback or suggestions to operations@brambleton.org by 5 PM today, February 3. BCA is considering replacing the tot lot due to aging play equipment and installing a trail for better access to the playground. Bike Donation Drive - Do you have a used bike that you would like to get rid of? BCA is partnering with Loudoun County Public Schools and Maverick Bikes & Café to host a Bike Donation Drive on Saturday, March 11 from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Community Center. Bikes will be donated to deserving elementary-aged students. Visit www.brambletonhoa.com/bikedrive for more information.
Bram Bus: Upcoming Trips - Tickets are now available for several great Bram Bus trips taking place this year! Visit our Brambleton Square Shop to easily purchase tickets and review event details. Engineering for Kids NOVA - BCA and Engineering for Kids NOVA are excited to host a new engineering workshop for kids ages 5-7. “Junior Lego Robotics: Wild Animals” will take place on Saturday, February 11 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Community Center. Luis Rosado Tennis Academy - Registration for LRTA tennis classes in Brambleton is now open! Classes start on Sunday, February 26. Design Review - The next Covenants Committee Meeting will be held on Monday, February 13 at the BCA Management Office. Applications can be submitted to designreview@brambleton.org.
- Please remember the application submission deadline is 9 AM on Monday, February 6, one week prior to the Covenants Committee Meeting. Any application that is incomplete or submitted past the deadline will be reviewed at the next scheduled Covenants Committee meeting. Read our special message for more information.

Shutter Maintenance: Inspections Begin on 2/21/23 - In support of BCA’s Property Maintenance Standards and Shutters Guidelines, BCA would like to provide advance notice that proactive, community-wide shutter inspections will begin on Tuesday, February 21. The primary focus will be inspecting for shutters that are missing, broken, mismatched, or faded. As a reminder, if you wish to change the color of your shutters, the submission of a Design Review Application and approval by the Covenants Committee is necessary prior to conducting any work. Please contact the Community Standards department with any questions.
Holiday Lights & Decorations - Inspections for remaining holiday lights and decorations are in progress throughout the community. This is a friendly reminder that these items should be removed no later than 14 days after the holiday. Please remove any holiday lights and decorations if you have not already done so. Arcola Christian Preschool Registration - Arcola Christian Preschool in Arcola is accepting registration applications for the 2023-2024 school year until noon on Friday, February 10. Visit www.arcolachurch.org/preschool for more information and to sign up for a tour.
TALK OF THE TOWN CENTER
Crafter's Choice Adult Book Club - The Adult Book Club will meet at the Brambleton Library on Monday, February 6 at 6:30 PM. Read a book based on this month's theme, "I Need a Hero", then put together a themed craft and talk about the book you chose. More details can be found here.
FOBL Annual Used Book Sale - Friends of the Brambleton Library (FOBL) will host its annual used book sale on Saturday, February 25 from 9:30 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday, February 26 from 12 to 5 PM in Meeting Rooms A and B on the upper level of the Brambleton Library. A ticketed pre-sale event will also be held on Friday, February 24 from 5 to 9 PM. Book donations for the sale will be accepted on February 18-23 during library open hours (please note the library will be closed on Monday, February 20). Donations of used books, DVDs/CDs, records, games, and puzzles are all welcome. Please email friendsofthebrambletonlibrary@gmail.com with any questions.

Spotted Lanternfly: Slow the Spread - The invasive spotted lanternfly can still be found in Loudoun County. Spotted lanternflies exist in the form of eggs from now until mid-May. Destroying one egg mass prevents around 3,000 lanternfly eggs the following year! Visit www.loudoun.gov/spottedlanternfly to learn more about the spotted lanternfly and review helpful mitigation tips.
