Weed Control & Fertilizer Application Update - The Association’s grounds maintenance contractor has provided an update that they will begin performing applications of weed control and fertilizer on Monday, August 8. This schedule was delayed by one week due to equipment issues. It will take approximately two weeks to treat the entire community. Weather can impact this schedule. Please contact operations@brambleton.org if you have questions, need more information, or would like to opt out of the service (townhome grounds maintenance program only). Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Family Service Days - Please join BCA for our upcoming Family Service Days! We will travel on the Bram Bus to both locations.

• Wednesday, August 17: Loudoun Therapeutic Riding, 9 to 11 AM

Movie on the Green: Encanto - Enjoy a free screening of Encanto on Friday, August 19 in Legacy Park! The movie will start at approximately 8 PM (dusk), and free popcorn will also be provided by Regal Fox Cinemas. Seating is first come, first served. Doggone Wild Pool Party - Save the date for our Doggone Wild Pool Party on Sunday, September 11! This event takes place from 2 to 6 PM at the Community Center Pool. Don’t let your furry friend miss out on the chance to dip in the pool before summer ends! BCA PROGRAMMING

Yoga in the Park - Join JKS Yoga at Legacy Park on Saturday, August 13 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM for an all-level yoga vinyasa class that will leave you feeling aligned, balanced, invigorated, and empowered. LRTA Summer Camps - Registration is open here for Luis Rosado Tennis Academy’s Brambleton Summer Camps. Two-hour camps are offered for ages 5-6, and four-hour camps are offered for ages 7+. Daily drop-ins are also available. Brambleton residents receive discounted prices and 20% off for multi-week registrations.

Girls on the Run: Fall Registration - Girls on the Run is coming back to Brambleton this fall! Registration will open here on Monday, August 15 at 9 AM. The fall session will begin in the week of September 12. Visit their website for more program details.


COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Landscape Bed Maintenance - Turf areas and mulched landscape beds are to be kept reasonably weed free. At no time shall weed cover exceed more than 10% of mulched areas. Mulching landscape beds is one of the best defenses in preventing weeds from growing out of control. Consider applying a weed preventer under the mulch for extended control. More information and tips on how to get your lawn on a simple weed free schedule can be found here. Please contact the Community Standards department with any questions.

Time to Mow! - Taking a summer vacation? Remember to schedule lawn mowing service! BCA reminds residents to review the Property Maintenance Standards which include the requirement that all turf areas on a lot must be kept neatly mowed, trimmed, and edged to a consistent height. Turf may not be permitted to exceed six inches in height at any time. Turf areas are to be kept as weed-free as possible. At no time shall weed cover exceed more than 25% of the total turf area. Proactive inspections for compliance with these standards are ongoing throughout the community. Please contact the Community Standards department with any questions.

Spotted Lanternfly: Slow the Spread - Loudoun County officials say the spotted lanternfly has been found in Loudoun, signaling a new stage in efforts to limit the damage the insect can cause to crops and gardens. Slowing the spread of the insect will require the efforts of everyone in the community.
