Spring Yard Sale Postponed to 5/14/22 - Our Spring Yard Sale has been postponed to next Saturday, May 14 due to inclement weather forecasted for tomorrow. This sale will take place from 8 AM to 12 PM at Brambleton residents’ homes. Those interested in selling items or updating their participation can click here. Verizon Fios Channel Lineup Update - Due to a recent agreement with Discovery, Verizon is undergoing a channel lineup change affecting their Extreme HD Package. Effective 4/25/22, five channels (American Heroes Channel, Cooking Channel, Destination America, Discovery Family, Science Channel) are no longer available to residents with this package. DMV Connect - The next Brambleton DMV Connect visit will take place on May 26-27 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Community Center. Appointment registration is anticipated to open next week on the DMV website. An announcement will also be sent through the Friday Flash and on our Facebook page once registration is live. Block Party Trailer - The Brambleton Block Party Trailer is now available for resident rental this year! This trailer serves to encourage community building within Brambleton. Block parties are a wonderful way for neighbors to come together in an informal and fun setting. Food Truck Thursday - Our next Food Truck Thursday takes place on May 19 from 5 to 8 PM. Roaming Coyote will be serving up delicious Tex-Mex food in Legacy Park (off of Olympia Dr). Yoga in the Park - Join JKS Yoga at Legacy Park on Saturday, June 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM for an all-level yoga vinyasa class that will leave you feeling aligned, balanced, invigorated, and empowered. Safe Sitter: June 2022 Course - The next Safe Sitter course is scheduled for Saturday, June 25 from 9 AM to 2:30 PM at the Community Center. Courses are open to Brambleton residents only and limited to 8 people. Safe Sitter prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Luis Rosado Tennis Academy - Luis Rosado Tennis Academy’s weekly Summer Camps allow beginners to learn a new sport and help current players improve their skills. Planning a Project? Remember to Obtain Approval First! - Our governing documents require that BCA approves all proposed exterior modifications which require an application before any work is started. Membership in a community association requires compliance with pre-existing conditions and regulations. One of the biggest advantages of these conditions is the protection of property values. The value of your home is directly related to the condition and aesthetics of our community as a whole.  

• The Design Review Application, Procedures, and Design Review Guidelines can be found on our website.
• Completed applications can be scanned and emailed in PDF format (recommended) or mailed to the BCA Management Office. Any application that is incomplete or submitted past the deadline will be reviewed at the next scheduled Covenants Committee Meeting.

Proper Storage of Waste Containers - Schedules and guidelines for trash, recycling, and yard waste collection in Brambleton can be found on our website. Bulk pickups can be scheduled by appointment only by contacting brambleton@republicservices.com. Trash containers and recycling bins can be placed curbside no earlier than 6 PM on the evening before the scheduled pickup day. All containers and bins should be removed from the streets, walkways, or exterior portions of the lots following pickup on the same day of service. Containers and bins must be stored in a location out of view of neighboring properties. Please contact the Community Standards department with any questions.

Captain Marvel Night - Brambleton Library's drop-in Captain Marvel Night tonight, May 6 from 5:30 to 8 PM will offer activities for all ages, such as crafts, ‘90s trivia, and a selfie station. Costumes are encouraged! Click here for more details.


COUNTY CORNER

LCAS Free Adoption Event - Loudoun County Animal Services will host a “Homeward Bound” free pet adoption event tomorrow, May 7 from 12 to 6 PM at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. Adoption fees will be waived on all available animals, including cats, dogs, small pets, and reptiles. More information can be found here.
